Right.

It adds a fair bit of overhead to applications like video players that
aren't using OpenGL directly, but the improvement it gives to compositing
(menu display, window dragging and scrolling, etc) is phenomenal.
I've got it enabled on my Beige G3 (OWC G4/466) and I had it enabled
on my 7500 (Crescendo G3/400) before I switched my Radeon over to the
newer box. There's no way I'd turn it off again.
If I was doing video editing, I wouldn't use PCI Extreme, but then if I was
doing video editing I'd be saving up for a Quicksilver or better.
I'd also like to know more about the GPU in this card. It's only
got 16M of VRAM and it's only got a 64-bit data path. It may not
be much better than the Rage 128, and you can get that for $70 from
WeloveMacs.
