This may be true, but I see no extensions for the 2940 in my System>Library>Extensions folder of 10.3.4
Here's a list of my possible PC card extensions in 10.3.4:
ACard62xxM.kext, ACard68xxM.kext, ACard671xSCSI.kext, ACard6885M.kext, ACard67162.kext, Adaptec78XXSCSI.kext, Adaptec290X-2930.kext, Adaptec29160x.kext, Adaptec39160.kext, UltraTek33.kext, UltraTek66.kext, UltraTek100.kext, UltraTek133.kext.
I plan to experiment with the PC versions of the 29160 and UltraTek66 and will post results.
