It's a Rev. B iMac with 512 Mb of RAM, a 129 Gb hard drive, running the last version of Jaguar (10.2.8) with all updates. I had just installed the D-Link driver for a USB wireless card and went to restart. Upon restart, the machine went the the routine of finding a System folder, then the Gray Apple Splash screen, then it froze with a gray-on-gray "Do Not" emblem...
Repeated attempts to restart from Open Firmware failed, attempts to boot from the CD drive (and the Jag Install disk) have failed.
THe CD drive never powers up that I can tell and it sounds as if the hard drive is not powering up fully either...
What does the screen mean? Is my power supply going south? My hard drive?
