Is there a kext which I can modify with the device and

I've got the same problem with a dual Firewire & USB 2.0 card. Firewire works, USB doesn't. I looked inside the .kext and it uses an alternate system (rather than device & vendor #'s) whereby the system polls a bunch of data about the card and adds up a "score" to see of the kext loads. I haven't tried manually loading the kext (I'm kinda new to this level of manipulation) so I don;t know if that works. This is described in the Apple USB developer documentation. I think if you knew the "scores" of your card, you could modify the kext to score your card higher and load the kext, but if the manual load worked, perhaps that would be easier? If I find out anything new I'll post it. Kris Tilford

My understanding is that USB 2 isn't supported on anything less than B&W, years ago I bought a USB 2 card to add to my 9500/G3 and wouldn't work but did work on my work B&W. I cannot remember exactly why but I think it was something to do with ROM version
