Hi. I think I actually have 3 home folders in that partition. I also kept 2 different accounts in the startup volume that are there just in case the others were to be wiped out. In Net Info, it actually does give the correct path for the users. I'm not at home now so tonight I'll send the output from the cloned partition and I'll be able to give you more info from Net Info. Thanks again. Have a great weekend everyone.

What does it say in NetInfo now?

something has gotten trashed. I know my data is all
there because I can browse through partition that
contains the home folders and eveything is there,

It didn't look like the contents of the default account was there from your listing. Yes, I'd like to see the results of the same commands in the account where it works.

A few problems here:

[oldbeige:Big Drive/Users Folders/Users] felix% ls -la
total 0
drwx------ 4 felix admin 136 4 Oct 20:05 .

^^^^^--- this should be "root"

drwx------ 3 felix admin 102 4 Oct 19:34 ..

^^^^^--- this should be "root"

drwx------ 10 felix admin 340 4 Oct 19:40 felix
drwx------ 3 root admin 102 4 Oct 20:05 laura

                ^^^^--- this should be "laura".

You have two accounts, felix and laura?
