The phantom Brother Laser HL-1440 shows up in Printer Setup Utility of all three desktops, and if you try to delete it, it will reappear spontaneously, so it must be on the network? My brother has a HP PSC-1210 All-In-One, but it's not a Laser, and not Brother, and normally not attached to his notebook, and probably not shared, so that's the only possibility within my house. I may just print something to this phantom printer asking whomever owns it to send me an e-mail.
