Hi,
I have OSX 10.13 installed on an upgraded 7600. It has a sonnet 400Mhz upgrade chip. It also has an PCI IDE interface card. When installing the set up happily works with the original Apple cdrom drive. If I put in my AOPEN CD/CD-RW drive it isn't recongnised in any way shape or form by OSX. You can't install OSX from it either. Using OS 9.1 on a second hard drive to the OSX one to boot up does make it available but only in OS9.1.

Does anyone know a way to make the AOPEN dricve availble in OSX and use it for writing to CDR and CDRW disks ? If there is no solution with this drive then what, if anything is the alternative?

      Regards Steve Jarvis
