but OWC has A Powerlogix 1GHz upgrade that is quite nice and about $180. For what you're doing I'd stuff it with memory, too.
Got 512, should be good for a little while, as long as I don't open too many huge files. I also have dual monitor support which I use. I like the spec of the Mercury extreme 1.2g., and it should plug in with nothing else to do.
You can go from there on up in speed and price. The G5 iMac is probably the better deal performance-wise.
