cheap and slowly: use a long 40 pole ide cable to force the
controller to do _no_ DMA for the drive
better: use a PCI ATA Controller like the ACARD
128 MB Memory is fine and cheap, just look for 100 or 133 Mhz SDRAM.
Use 4 of them and with 512 MB you're not too bad and you still go
cheaply
I run two B&W in Tiger, one Rev2 and one Rev1 with an ACARD what runs
faster from the Hard Drives than the REV2 with onBoard ATA
