Hi,
I'm new to the usupported OS X list, but I've been on the Vintage and PCI
lists for awhile.
Quick question about installing 10.3 on a 7500. The 7500 has a G4 400mhz
upgrate, 512mb ram, 9gb HD. It's currently running 10.2.8 which I installed
with some eMac cds I got from ebay and xpostfacto. I have 10.3 and 10.4 on
DVD. Has anyone else installed on a xx00 with a DVD? Is there some way
around going out and spending 80 bucks on a CD set of 10.3? Just curious.
Thanks
Thomas

The latest Software update of iTunes and Quicktime may be involved.
Quicktime 7.0.4 may be the culprit. Did you recently do the recommended
software update?
Trying to recall a discussion ... maybe suggest searching Apple Discussion
...
I have both a 9500 and an 8500 running 10.3.9.
One that has the ATI Radeon 7000 ME worked fine ... the other with an older
video card, an ixmicro ultimateRez, started misbehaving when I Downloaded
and Installed the recommended software updates. I'm getting another ATI
Radeon 7000ME, since I'm using Xpostfacto 4 to handle OS X 10.3.9. Just
works better.
I needed to do an Uninstall of the later Quicktime ... there's an Apple
page that gives the Uninstaller.
It was also suggested that we go back to iTunes 6.5.2 or something.
I believe it all has to do with video upgrades ... iTunes new video
capability ... Quicktime ... and maybe Safari, since it uses Quicktime.
Apologies for the rambling ... it's late here in Virginia.

I click on the dock icon (or in applications) and the app seems to be
starting, then stops.
Anyone have similar problems? Anyone solve similar problems?
