i have a UMAX s900 with a Promise ATA66 card in slot #2, and a maxtor 120GB drive and an iomega 250zip on bus #1. i want to install OSX on the box using xpostfacto. my question is this, IS this one of those IDE controllers that requires a partition smaller than 8GB for the OSX, or is this one of the controllers that does NOT impose that restriction. if it is, i will just put OSX on the SCSI-3 HD.

i also have an adaptec 2940U2B controller in slot #1 w/ a quantum LVD drive, USB, firewire, and ATI radeon 128 cards in slots 3-5 respectively; a sonnet G4/700 processor, two SCSI CD drives, and 1GB of RAM. anyone see any other potential problems with putting OSX on this box? os9.1 has been running just fine up 'til now.

thanks in advance,

john
