since there's a lot of graphics folks here, I'll ask the group what is a good open source way to put togehter a good podcast for demoing a web app. I would also like to add in a sound track (of me explaining the screen shots - I was thinking I could record, edit, attach with Audacity - but real novice here. thks for any suggestions. Think I will be at Geek Lunch at end of month so if anyone has something to show, let me know, so I can be sure to go .....

I've found Jing to be fantastic for creating demo videos. I've used it over and over because it's just so easy. However, if you need to edit video, add music, add text, or make a video longer than 5 minutes (Jing has 5-minute limit) you'll need a more advanced screencasting app. There are several good apps for Mac, and maybe one for Windows. I don't know about Linux screencasting options.
