what is a good open source way to put togehter a good podcast for
demoing a web app. I would also like to add in a sound track (of
me explaining the screen shots - I was thinking I could record,
edit, attach with Audacity - but real novice here.

If you can record it in one take, I'd recommend Jing:

only issue here is that he might be running linux and not windows or
mac!
