That's not true, there are a LOT of quality open source projects that don't require you to make derivatives open source. That is the case with any software released under these licenses: - Apache License - New BSD License (all bsd-like licenses really) - Eclipse License - Mozilla Public License - PHP License - LGPL (someone correct me if i'm wrong on this one) - WTFPL (i was tempted to use this one for outlet, don't look it up :) - And many more...
