Update: Along these lines, since nobody has stepped forward to present (which was also the situation for November, and for December if you count it), the question has been raised, and discussed a bit in #uphpu, about whether there's really an interest in having monthly techincal meetings with social gatherings like we have been doing. As for technical presentations, we could reconsider frequency perhaps? Would you be interested in attending technical meetings: A. Monthly (the current norm) B. Bi-Monthly (every other month) C. Quarterly (every 3 months) D. Less often There's no pressing need to have the technical presentations coincide with the social gatherings (take the UTOS Geek Lunches for example)... Would you be interested in attending UPHPU (or broader) social gatherings: A. Monthly (the current norm) B. Bi-Monthly (every other month) C. Quarterly (every 3 months) D. Less often Let's discuss this and see what we end up with. If we continue to have no presenters interested in sharing their interests with us, we might end up with just social gatherings for a while, until someone decides they have something they want to share. Thoughts?
