This is probably obvious and I am sure I know the answer to this, however,
do people typically setup a dev box and prod box as the same hardware?
Using a dev box, especially in a team environment, how do you prevent a
run-away cpu cycle or memory usage due to bad code?  I have done many stupid
things while coding that has brought my machine to it's knees.  I shudder to
think of doing that on a Prod or Dev box that multiple people use.
