Sorry for being so vague; I posted from my phone. I'm trying to decide if we should build or buy and at this phase am simply trying to feel for the solutions that are out there. In regards to chat, the answer seems easy: building your own would be crazy with robust systems like LivePerson. But what about shopping carts? What do most big retailers do? Are they all running custom carts or are there enterprise common systems that are flexible enough that they work? What about for shopping experiences that require complexity beyond just adding something to a cart and then checking out? What about examples like wireless carriers where you have to select a phone, select options, and select a plan or the online Apple Store where you can select a computer and then there is a page of configuration options? Am I safe to assume that these are custom stores? _______________________________________________ UPHPU mailing list [email protected] http://uphpu.org/mailman/listinfo/uphpu IRC: #uphpu on irc.freenode.net
