*Position : Subject: P66 - Radio systems engineer* Location : Sunnyvale, CA Duration: 18 months Here we go again. Radio systems engineer req for P66, Location: Bartlesville but expected to travel 40 to 50% of time This position will be roughly 35% to up to 50% travel. This person's base location will be in Bartlesville. The manager does not want to see candidates that do not at least have the following: 10+ years’ experience with conventional and trunked two way radio systems, including site and construction development. 5+ years’ experience in site and construction development, building design including site construction and modification. *Responsibilities * • Provide companywide two way radio engineering, design and project support for conventional and trunked radio systems. • Managing site civil construction activities including shelters, foundations, electrical, grounding, tower and antenna work. • This role will be responsible for radio upgrade project deliverables including developing specifications, proposal requests, vendor management and on-site contractor management. • Operating in Oil and Gas locations, including those with physical access limitations, and hazardous area requirements. Using Personal Protective Equipment, PPE, and obeying site safety requirements. • The position will require travel to sites throughout the U.S. during site assessments and installation. • Interfacing with wireless vendors and suppliers to manage project and support requirements. *Qualifications - Basic/Required * • 10+ years’ experience with conventional and trunked two way radio systems, including site and construction development. • 5+ years’ experience in site and construction development, building design including site construction and modification. • Large multi-site project experience including experience with building statement of works for contract services. • Radio Network design fundamentals for conventional and trunked radio systems; must include experience in end to end trunked radio design, specifying required equipment and written proposal preparation. • Practical knowledge and hands on experience with two way radios and related accessories. • Familiar with crane systems management including practices and policies. • Knowledge of soil stability, concrete design and land surveying. • Must be able to read and interpret construction specifications and blueprints, including ability to read blueprints and coordinate with contractors. • Sound prioritization and time management skills. • Develop and implement test plans for new implementations. • Ability to work independently, evaluate requirements and provide solutions. * Preferred:* • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent. • Using the subscriber central asset database, creating and publishing reports. • Designing radio systems for intrinsically safe equipment deployments. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Exceptional prioritization and time management skills. • Perform network planning to support business case requirements. • Test and validate new technology and network features prior to implementation. • Produce and maintain all required site documentation. • Perform troubleshooting to support the Radio team Thanks & Regards Jessie Parker 510-358-3393 -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "US_IT.Groups" group.
