*Solaris / AIX Administrator with Project Management Skills* * *
*Location: Scranton, PA* *Duration: Long Term* *Start: ASAP * Qualified candidates must have 7+ years’ hands on experience with AIX 5.3, Linux and Solaris 5.10 systems in a mission critical environment. Must have experience with operating systems AIX and Solaris 5.9/5.10, shell scripting, performance tuning, TCP/IP technology, TCP/IP printing and general troubleshooting. Working experience with Microsoft Office, Windows XP, Windows Server and Project applications also a requirement. Must have experience in working with multiple teams and coordinate in Projects. Client would like to see someone with* Project Management/Coordination Skills.* · 6+ years hands on experience with AIX 5.3 and Solaris 5.10 systems in a mission critical environment · Strong knowledge of shell scripting · *High level of expertise with project management skills* · Excellent problem solving and debugging skills · Strong interpersonal skills, including verbal and written communications · Proven customer service experience *Responsibilities * · Work to configure, install, and maintain AIX 5.3 and Solaris 5.9 / 5.10 systems. · Utilize monitoring tools to proactively identify problems with systems, applications, and networks. · High level of expertise in the development and support of korn and bash shell scripts. · Maintain and improve system availability requirements. · Implement security policies and procedures. · Perform proactive capacity planning reviews and provide updates to the AIT management and application support areas. · Provide 1st and 2nd tier support.
