I believe it's more pervasive: since sockets aren't in the build, nothing in libURL works. And since it isn't yet integrated with browser-native features like XHR or WebSockets, nothing normal browser apps do will work either.

AFAIK, in the current build, HTML output from LC is more or less an island, unable to communicate with the outside world.
