Do you use Thunderbird? If so, you probably want to:
1. Open the 'Preferences' window
2. Go to the 'Display' page
3. Go to the 'Advanced' tab
4. Disable the checkbox marked 'Show only display name for people in my
address book'
This resolved the problem for me.
