Maybe ask on the forums too, but that may not yield much either. I've been
doing lots of Android apps lately but they are all proprietary and don't
get uploaded to the Play Store.
Rather than trying to identify specific apps, I'd like to see a
conversation between Google and Mark where he could explain the behaviors
in more general terms. On the other hand, since LC apps are
indistinguishable from any others, maybe Google will just use their normal
testing procedures and make decisions based on each app's functionality.

Other than asking here, can you suggest a better way to find out what
LiveCode apps are in Google Play?

I did wonder that too. I know that in the case of Adobe AIR it’s very
easy to do. Is there nothing in the manifest that mentions LiveCode,
that someone with access to all Google Play data could search for?
No there isn't.
The only thing which could be used to identify a LiveCode app is that the
name of the Activity class is always 'mblandroid' - a class built at
standalone build time, inheriting from LiveCodeActivity but in the package
named as requested by the author.
If you decompile the classes you would see a 'com.runrev.android' package
and a LiveCodeActivity class within it.
Warmest Regards,
Mark.
