Actually, RunRev BOUGHT Metacard didn't they? So they owned it, which is why that is not plagiarism. But saying that a pure copy is the only form that can be called plagiarism doesn't hold water in a court of law. If it can be shown that enough sections of code are identical in form and function to the original, especially if it can be demonstrated that the original code was modified to produce the new, then THAT is plagiarism pure and simple.
