Plagiarism is a direct copy, or one similar enough to seem like a copy. You can't copyright ideas, they are free for anyone to use as long as the actual implementation is different. That's why it isn't stealing to reproduce the idea of hypelinked text and content. It's only stealing if you swipe the code and assets.

There were no such distinctions back in Sharespeare's day but there is now, and HyperCard falls under that jurisdiction.
