One thought I had would be to store the contents of the app in a stack,
transfer the stack, then rebuild the app. At least this means
transferring only one item.

I'd appreciate suggestions on the easiest way to download a Mac-based
Rev app from a server. I'd be doing this in a revlet. I just want to
take it from the server and store it locally.
In the past, I've manually copied every part of the app (i.e the
contents of the app folder) and "reconstituted" it locally. This works
fine, but is not elegant and takes more time than I prefer (with it
usually involving 10-15 separate ftp downloads).
Is there a faster shell command? Zip command? Compress/decompress? Any
new options available since Rev 3.5?
Thanks.
