OK, I finally got the handles of an image to show up, and it has a name and id number, position, etc. It ought to be the one I imported, but it is empty, IOW, no image.
Now what do I do?
Not sure. Try a different image, saved as PICT with a different paint program, maybe? I was using a PICT saved by Graphic Converter. For testing, try a small image.
