I've been using pair <www.pair.com> for the last 6 years and they have been excellent. Very reliable, great tech support, etc. I think you can do custom CGI with their Advanced account <http://pair.com/services/web_hosting/>.
Do they really allow you to do custom cgi on a shared server ?
Yes. I run a custom PHP CGI on my account that I compiled and installed myself. I can try installing the rev cgi later tonight and let you know how it goes if you would like.
