Why do posts to this group sometimes not show up for HOURS? Every other such
group I'm involved with (where I am generally one of the "answer guys" and
wouldn't dream of posting a question) are MUCH faster. The groups can
practically carry-on "real time chat", while this one seems so sluggish that
I often wonder whether a post was actually sent - only to receive my
reflected copy THE NEXT DAY! And answers seem to take just as long or
longer, not to the fault of the answerers (RunRev people or users).
I would expect that in the early days of the Revolution revolution, these
lists, the web site - AND DOCUMENTATION are going to be three of the "make
or break" factors for the success or failure of the product. The lists
provide we users the ability to help each other, and minimize actual
technical support which needs to be handled directly by people like Kevin,
Jeanne and others - leaving them valuable time to improve and update the
product.
This list must be FAST - or it has little value for practical support
issues. When I post something, I want to AT LEAST see that my post happened,
and be secure in knowing that some of the more experienced users MAY have
seen it, too.
