You're right--thanks very much for the help. Setting that property to false
for each image in the "library" card seemed to do the trick.

So as far as I could see from testing it just now, there's no bug and
animation works fine with moving buttons as long as the buffering is
disabled--I'm glad I still hadn't gotten around to posting a bug report yet.

But man, was it doing some weird things with the buffering on (which is the
default)! For example, button animations on one card would stop after
visiting another card with bitton animations that failed due to being moved,
then the animations on the first card would be restored to working order
after visiting the card with the original image objects!

And all sorts of humorous oddities like that.... I should have guessed it
was something like buffering. Thanks again for the tip, which will save me a
whole lot of trouble.
