Thanks, Mike.  This did the trick.

Now another issue.  Maybe it's been addressed but I haven't seen it 
here nor in the documentation.  When I resize an image object, save, 
close and reopen the stack containing the image, the image object 
resizes itself to the original size of the graphic referenced or 
imported into the object.  Nothing I do can make the image retain the 
assigned size.  Is this a known issue?  Is there a trick to making 
this work?
