[First, a caveat. The RunRev development and support team is a group
with extrordinary patience and understanding. The pique that I am about
to display should in no way reflect on the their patience. My opinions
are my own, and I do not represent RunRev.]
I don't get this hostility.
Please try to remember this: RunRev is not the government. Unlike the
government, they do not have the power of the gun. Unlike the
government, RunRev cannot force you to accept a transaction that does
not advance your interests.
Presumably, prior to RunRev's current offer, you were happy with your
position. The only thing that RunRev can do is make you an offer, and
thereby expand the range of options currently open to you. At best, you
can move your position forward. At worst, you can maintain your current
position, with which you were apparently happy.
Here is my recommendation to you: Evaluate the exchange that RunRev has
offered, and make a judgement as to whether the exchange will advance
your interests. If it DOES advance your interests, then make the
exchange. If it does NOT advance your interests, then you are perfectly
free to manage your affairs the way you would have had RunRev not made
you the offer in the first place.
But please don't whine, and misuse the English language by deploying
words such as "extortion".
