Thanks Arjo,

shy about your client work

and

as realistic as possible

I told a client today that I wouldnt bother with photorealism for an illustration he wanted .... it would take too long and was not necessary. Design is solving the clients requirements and Art is solving my own questions. The truth is that I just enjoy drawing. 30 years in the trade and a fun pencil like RS ..... I dont really care if I'm drawing for a client or myself. Also of course, I have no need or wish to establish a name for myself as such.

Anyway, a new client is happy with the answers I'm giving him, so I have to go back to work !!!

Hope all is well with you and yours, thanks again .... N.

Hi Neil,

Don't be too shy about your client work. I understand you prefer your free
work. But something you might not see yourself is that your client work has
your own special style.
Most clear in the architecture stuff. You see so many of those "as realistic
as possible" renders that it's quite nice to see something else. When I
compare your free work with these renders I can clearly see that this could
only have been done by you. Especially the choice of colours has a touch
that gives your images a uniqueness.

BTW not that I hate photorealistic renders, they have their own quality.

Arjo.

Thanks for your generous words Mark.

>Infinity Bridge

Infinity Bridge was total fun .... really enjoyed putting that one
together.

The "client work" ... is ... "client work" .... right? ...... hardly
anything startling .... but it all adds to drawing skills ... and
hopefully
a roof and a crust.
