Interesting. Thx for all the insights and for the workaround. Temp is used by Transporter class as intermediary storage for activated content to ensure not too much of memory is consumed by it at any time. Files should be uniquely named and timestamped to avoid collisions. Any chance you (or your admin) have imposed some limits on FS configuration like file name length or number of files that can exist in the directory at any given time or max total size of files in the directory? Any chance that your public instances were sharing the temp directory before and were deleting same temp files they received from author while activating under each others hands? Any chance you have set a subscriber to activate same file to two different locations on same public instance?
