Hi Michael,

I think these issues are tricky also because everyone's network and deployment 
situation is a bit different...

One thing's for sure: it will be much easier to work with a local setup - it's 
just easier if you can sit in front of the screen rather than having to mess 
around over SSH connections... so I think your idea of setting up a local 
environment for developing and testing is a good idea. That way you can get 
working faster, and solve the Rackspace-related issues independently.

We'll I'm just going to format a computer that I have in front of me to become 
a Ubuntu Server and install Mag CMS there. How does everyone else get their 
Magnolia servers online? Everyone has a box in front of them for it or VPN 
access? No one ever uses Rackspace? 

They probably do use Rackspace. It's probably that I just suck at it.
