Hi Theodore,
So you have to open the war file, then to put all the file you want in
the bootstrap directory concerned and to redeploy.
And you are right, you can delete all the content in the bootstrap/common.
Another to do it is to export the pages you want, redeploy the basic war
and import the xml that you have backed up.
I am deploying the war versions of Magnolia from sourceforge. I am not
building the wars from source (Should I be doing this?).
Sorry I didn't realize that you are using the compiled war.
With the war
versions from SF, it includes bootstrapped sample templates and pages
(as a jar). Could this impact my custom bootstrap?
Yes it does, so you can delete all the content in the bootstrap/common
from the jar.
If you want to solve your problem, try following these steps it should work:
- open the war file with 7zip or an other tool.
- open the jar file corresponding to the samples module with the same tool.
- browse to the bootstrap directory, delete the directory dms and
website. It deletes the preinstaller pages and documents.
- let's go and enjoy magnolia
