This doesn't make sense. You should maybe read this: http:// java.sun.com/j2se/1.5.0/docs/guide/javadoc/deprecation/deprecation.html It could be that the method doesn't work *as expected*, but you're not saying what's wrong, so it's going to be hard to help ;)
