so, it is in the template dms.jsp:
doc.getNodeData("subject").getString(),
is doing nothing. No error. No output.
May be, thats not what a template user is expecting?

It could be that the method doesn't work *as expected*, but you're
not saying what's wrong, so it's going to be hard to help ;)
