Hi Kevin,

It seems that you did not give tomcat enough memory to start up.
The first time you start Magnolia, it needs an extra additional step called bootstrap that consumes a lot of memory.
Any subsequent run won't usually need much memory.

So I suggest you start tomcat with the -Xmx1024m option.

If it's still doesn't make it run properly, just send us the last few lines of the magnolia.war/logs/magnolia-debug.log file, so we can get more info on what the problem is.

Hope this helps,
Regards,

Hi everyone,

I just downloaded Magnolia earlier today.

I'm running Fedora 7, MySQL 5.0.37, tomcat 5.5

when I drop the Magnolia war files into the webapps dir, tomcat dies a
horrible death.

I'd love to get this working - what can I provide here to try and track
this down.

Kevin
