- simply replace existing bootstrap files under WEB-INF/bootstrap with the once you exported.

Thanks, I will give this a try, wait a week or two and let the list know if the ItemNotFoundException returns!

Did you remove versions or mgnlVersion directories on the file system, This is a known problem with jackrabbit. Try to do these operations in debug mode so we can see what went wrong, btw which magnolia version?

Not that I know of, I typically don't touch the file system unless I blow away the entire repositories folder. I'm using Magnolia 3.0.2 configured to use the BDB PM w/search.

Can anything be done to make this problem go away?

If you dont find anything you can always clean the entire repository (if at all feasible), to do so:
        - shutdown application server
        - backup entire webapp including repository
        - start app server
        - export all workspaces to xml
        - remove repositories folder from the file system
        - bootstrap magnolia with the imported files.

Please note that this will remove all previous versions stored in the repository.

Can you explain "bootstrap magnolia with the imported files?"

Hi All,

I am having a problem over and over that I see show up on this list from time to time. Someone is editing content (Often images) and ends up unable to activate, delete or add new content to the page. Viewing the log always shows exceptions like:

javax.jcr.ItemNotFoundException: dbc51063-867d-4614-89c8-7b639d52b21d

or

javax.jcr.ItemNotFoundException: ed3c1a43-68cb-4202-90b3- d133aa266e4b/{http://www.jcp.org/jcr/1.0}baseVersion

The quick "fix" for this problem is to export that page's content, move the page to a trash area and re-import the page. It works for a while but eventually this same thing happens again.

Can anything be done to make this problem go away?
