Hi Tom

Well, you are not the only one :-)

In 3.5.4 the url for the activation has changed. When activating from a 3.5.4 author instance to a 3.5.3 public instance I got a 404 on /.magnolia/activation.
After updating the public instance to 3.5.4 activation worked fine.

I assume there is a better work around then updating the public instance to 3.5.4 or higher. But the update was rather easy, I emptied the /WEB-INF/lib on my 3.5.3 instance and copied all the jars from a 3.5.4 /WEB-INF/lib folder.

Cheers
Giancarlo

I am having a problem with 3.5.3 and 3.5.8 and want to see if anyone
else is having this problem and I need to file a bug report or if it
might be something wrong with my configuration.

The problem is when a user deactivates an activated page it does not
delete it from the public instance. Same thing happens when a user
deletes or renames an activated page. Could I have something wrong
with my config that would make this not work properly?

I'm finding it hard to believe that other people haven't run into the
same problem if it were a bug in Magnolia.

Thanks,

Tom
