I don't know about a magnolia-based approach yet. But it would be nice to have at least a _simple_ solution based upon magnolia (tagging, categories, rss, simple usermanagement and workflow) - I don't know if it's really worth to copy all features from mature solutions like wordpress. The Java world offers Blojsom and Apache Roller.
