My author instance is running well in /author while the public instance
is running well in ROOT.
I changed in subscribers magnolia8080 to www.mywebsite.com. Then I was
activating a page that I changed for testing.
Error is:
"Can't activate:1 error detected: Not able to send the activation request.
[http://www.mywebsite.com/.magnolia/activation]: cannot retry due to the
server authentication, in streaming mode on magnolia8080"
What should I do now to "couple" my two instances?

Then just use www.mywebsite.com... it should work...

I have magnolia instances installed on a virtual private server so I want to
access these with:
www.mywebsite.com/author (for magnoliaAuthor)
and
www.mywebsite.com (for magnoliaPublic)

how do you access the website from the machine? with localhost:8080
or..? whatever you use just try it in browser... i thonk it should be
localhost:8080, but still, vheck it out. Then again why do you need to
run it on ROOT?
