Hi,

on my system: slackware-current,
# uname -a
Linux rataxas 2.6.13.1-skas3-v9-pre7 #1 Sun Sep 11 16:43:07 CEST 2005 i686 unknown unknown GNU/Linux

2.6.13.1 as guest runs and compile OK.

# make defconfig ARCH=um
# make menuconfig ARCH=um (disable only loadable module support)
# make ARCH=um

tested with Gentoo (stage3-penitum4) and slackware as guest systems.

Hi,

I am unable to compile UML on 2.6.13.1. It exits with the following error:

 CC arch/um/sys-i386/unmap.o
 LD arch/um/sys-i386/unmap_fin.o
ld: cannot open libc.a: No such file or directory
make[1]: *** [arch/um/sys-i386/unmap_fin.o] Error 1
make: *** [arch/um/sys-i386] Error 2

I got this error while doing "make linux ARCH=um"
Pls help. Pleas

KK Mehra
