Hi

What is the best way to connect ot a large exteranl files system.
To explain:
We (our company) for some reason is running a samba PDC as a UML and
connecting
to home directories on a large physical partition via NFS. I personally
found nfs to be
relatively slow (this may be due to nfs configuration settings) and hostfs
much seems much faster
However, by using hostfs I ran into trouble in regards to individual user
persmission. Yes I read that
part of the documentation a little bit to late.

Apart from not running Samba as a PDC on a UML. Are there any other ideas
on how I can achieve and fast and realiable file system response in the
above scenario. I have read about humfs, does not seems to be that well
support for Debian.
BTW the users home drive space and "shared foldrs" is a 300G file systems.

Thanks
Gerhard
