Hi,
I read from your mail that there are 2 possible solutions for this problem:
1) Install glibc-2.3 (or)
2) Try UML 2.4 (i.e Try the 2.4 kernel)
For (1):
I have glibc-2.5-3 installed on my machine. Is there a way to install glibc2.3
without disturbing the existing 2.5-3?
For (2):
Will UML 2.4 compile using gcc 4.1.1? I tried with 2.4.27 and its corresponding
UML patch. The compilation still fails.
Thanks
Siva

Hi,
I believe this issue is linked to Fedora's glibc 2.4 or/and gcc 4.1 on
amd64 platforms only (I have the same issue on Gentoo 2006.1).
I reported this issue a while back but haven't had time to investigate:
Blaisorblade suggested that I install glibc 2.3 and see if that fixes it
- - sorry, I'm pushing out a release and haven't had time.
It would be really nice to be able to use UML 2.6 again on those hosts.
You may want to try UML 2.4 until this is resolved.
Cheers
Antoine
