Don't do this, use this process instead. https://engineering.eventbrite.com/changing-the-ip-address-of-a-cassandra-node-with-auto_bootstrapfalse/ It will be significantly faster. You do have to repair the node after restarting it, because hints for the old node IP are discarded. =Rob
