Not sure that this is a relevant approach but:
- Could the Prepare the SQL statement be run in a StartupThreadGroup that
runs 1 thread 1 time and the rest of the steps be in a separate regular
ThreadGroup that iterates over the different variations?
- Similarly, set up two threadgroups, the first is 1 thread running 1 time
with the Prepare SQL statement and the second threadgroup runs the
iterations, and mark the Threadgroups to run sequentially. You could then
have multiple pairs of TGs to run different Prepared statements. If they
were in a single Test Plan, they would run sequentially. If you need them
to run "in parallel" you would probably need to run multiple jmeter
instances, each with its own test plan for a particular Prepared SQL
statement.
