+1 for Wave, mostly because the discussions are persistent and searchable. I was a Wave "alpha" user so I am less taken in by the hype of Wave as the "next big thing", but it definitely has a place for certain types of collaboration. You'll probably also want to set up a Neo Google group, or even switch to Google Groups/Wave as the primary communications medium. Wave robots could also be used to sync with the "old" list server if needed.
