Hi Henri,
I was able to install M2E 0.9.7 in Eclipse 3.4.2 SDK, all I did was
point at the update site (http://m2eclipse.sonatype.org/update/).
Same for the J2EE bundle SR2, which is based on Eclipse 3.4.2.
I guess I'm missing something. What install procedure did you use?

Steps for others 3.4.2 users :
- install eclipse 3.4.2
- unzip GEF-ALL 3.4.2 and 3.4.1 on eclipse dir
- install m2eclipse from update url.
