We don't actually have a "Fileshare" repository connector, so I am not sure
what you are talking about here.  And if you have bugs to report, please do
so.

The paths that you use for windows shares depend on having a share actually
published by your local system.  Setting up a share of a specific folder on
windows is not within the scope of advice I can really offer.  But if you
do not need document security, you can always use the File System
Connector, which just reads files and does not go via windows shares.
